Dr. Theophilus Olowa is a lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Environmental Sciences at the University of Ilorin. He holds a PhD in Building, Civil Engineering, and Architecture from Tallinn University of Technology and a master’s degree in construction management from the University of Lagos. He has extensive experience in working with various public and private organizations in the construction industry before joining the academic staff in 2016. His current research interests include Building Information Modelling for construction education, circular economy, and net zero energy buildings for a sustainable environment. He is a registered quantity surveyor with the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria and a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, demonstrating his passion and belief that industry experience and academic theory must be blended to produce well-rounded graduates in all construction-related disciplines.
